BIBLE TRUTH

2,000 years ago Jesus is known and came from the town of Nazareth in what is now called Israel. He traveled about the region and gained a large followers. After a few years, the religious leaders in Jerusalem falsely accused him of many things such as blasphemy against God, making himself equal with God, deceiving the people through false and nontraditional teachings  and handed him over to the Roman officials in power then. They killed him by hanging him to a cross by nails. After his dead and Resurrection, his disciples preached in his name (Jesus Christ), As they preached more disciples were added to them and the group began to enlarge and today has become the Christian church.

JESUS PROPHESIED HIS ARREST KILLING. 

On a Thursday night, Jesus met with his apostles, in the city of Jerusalem, to take the Passover meal with them. It was here on a solemn occasion, that Jesus told them He must soon die. That it was God's will that He give His life for His friends. He drank wine and broke bread with them, and told them, to remember Him when they did this from that time forward, to be reminded of His death and His promise to come again to take His own to a place He was going to prepare for them.
Later that night He spent time in the garden of Gethsemane to pray with and seek comfort from the company of His Father. His prayer was ended by the clamor of swords and the shouts of angry men sent to arrest Him. Around midnight Jesus was arrested and sent to trial. On tramped up charges, the Jewish authorities tried the Lord in an illegal, night-time trial. They had Him beaten, spit upon, slapped, and humiliated Him. That was not enough, they wanted Him to die. In the early morning they carried Jesus to the Governor of Judea, Pontus Pilate. After hearing His case, Pilate could find no charge against Jesus, but the authorities of the Jews demanded the death of the man of Nazareth. Pilate had Him scourged, stripped, mocked, hoping that would appease the crowd, finally sending Him to Herod, where again He was beaten, and shamed. But, at last Pilate had to give in to the cry of the crowd, "Crucify Him, Crucify Him."

 But there is so much more to Jesus than that. Where he came from,the things he did on earth, what he can do for us now is all revealed in the Bible. This book contains the only record of Jesus and was written by the generation of people who heard him teach and saw his deeds. Here is what the Bible teaches us about Jesus Christ:

1. JESUS IS GOD.

John wrote about Him: In the beginning was the Word [poetic description of Jesus], and the Word was with God and the Word was God (John 1:1 ESV). He created the world and all that is in it (John 1:3). The religious leaders of his time understood that Jesus claimed to be God (John 5:17-18). Paul wrote that when Jesus died, the Father revealed to the entire world that He was God (Philippians 2:5-11).

2. JESUS IS THE SON OF GOD.

According to the Bible, “Son of God” means: (1) He is fully God. (2) He is one of three persons who together make up the One God. This concept is called the “Trinity.”

What is Easter: Easter is a special festival celebrated to mark the resurrection

Spiritual significance of Easter: It is clear that Easter has special significance to the early generations of Christians, it helps the early Christians to reflect on the Christ passion and resurrection – the passion observation was indeed turned into celebration by the first Jewish Christians, so Easter became a central event for the Christian faith.

Easter also signifies a period of grace for deliverance and victory over enemies to those who place there trust and faith in Christ-Jesus who was first delivered from the power of the grave on Sunday, today marked Easter Sunday, It was during Easter that the angel of the Lord miraculously delivered peter from the jail- the angel visited him and freed him, Acts 4:10. Due to these this grace and love showed to Peter by the Lord, Easter has significantly become a period for deliverance, a period we should show love to one another and visit those in Prison possibly grant them pardon and let them go free if we are in the position or power to do so, we should also visit those who are in sick beds giving them gifts, it is a period of extravagant magnanimity- which is evident through the raising of Jesus from the grave, secondly; it was evident through the freeing of Peter from the prison, Easter is a period of prayer to God to help us through his extravagant love lavished on Christ- through raising him from the grave ignoring the strength and the seem insurmountable  power of the grave.

HOW EASTER WAS OBSERVED IN THE EARLIEST CHURCH.

Easter was observed as a vigil beginning from Saturday evening and ending on Sunday morning and included remembrance of Christ crucifixion as well as resurrection. Later around A.D 300, Easter observation was divided into two- the original observance dedication Good Friday to the crucifixion and Easter Sunday to the resurrection.

EASTER PERIOD.

Easter occurring in the first quarter (Q1) or at the end of Q1 shows that our troubles for the year could end as Q1 ends if we believe and work in obedience to our creator, the author of all things; good and bad, evil and peace.

It also means that we can end our arrogance against our God as the Q1 ends and begin a newness of life, which actually ushers in our life a period of surprise and amazement, it was after Easter the disciples of Christ who stand as witness of Christ resurrection to the world received the greatest surprise of their life when Jesus who supposedly dead visited them at the upper room, wooh!; Thomas who was absent when Jesus visited when told the story, said; I will not believe that story, except I see him myself and insert my finger in the hole marked by the crucifixion nail in his palm and side.

The news of his appearance to his disciples after dead and burial was shocking one especially to the disciple who was absent, but a surprise package for the first set of disciples who saw him.

As you make reconciliation with Christ in this Easter, you will receive your Easter surprise package in Jesus name, and your troubles and sorrows will be forced to end as this 2017 Easter ends in Jesus name.

Conclusion: Easter is a time of Christ passion observation, the passion observation was eventually turned into celebration, it is considered the oldest festival of the Christian faith, around A.D 300, Easter festival was divide into two parts by the early observers – the first part considers the Good Friday for crucifixion and the second part considers Easter Sunday for resurrection, Easter was originally celebrated as Virgil which begins on Saturday evening and ends on Sunday morning, Easter is a period to extent love to one another, visit those in prison to share love with them because God indeed lavished love on Christ during this period by raising him out from the seem insurmountable power of the grave thereby proving that he can raise every believers from the dead, therefore ending the power of the grave…..

GOD CAN NOT BRING YOU TO THE LAND OF PROMISE CORRUPT.
The 'land of promise' could represent your life expectations, carria, education, business etc.
The children of the old Israel spent 40years instead of 40days, the period of delay was the period that God was trying to make them conform to goodly life pattern.
But because they were so used to their own ways of life, it became difficult for them to cast away their corruption to become incorruptible. So they delayed themselves from achieving the good Godly plans up to 39 years 10months and 20days.
This is how so many of us had delayed the manifestation of God's hand in our life.

BAD NEWS TURNED GOOD NEWS.

Hezekiah who became sick the point of death received a discouraging and heart breaking massage from prophet Isaiah, the massage reads “ Thus saith the Lord, set thine house in order: for thou shall die, and not live” Isaiah 38:1 it was bad news for Hezekiah. But Hezekiah took advantage of his goodly relationship and intimacy with God to make a humble and constructive prayer which was intended for gaining God’s divine favour and mercy. The prayer reads, “…Remember now, o Lord, I beseech thee, how I have walked before thee in truth and in a perfect heart, and have done that which is good in thy sight. And Hezekiah wept sore”.

God became touched by the words of Hezekiah had compassion on seeing his tears, so the Lord walked back the prophet, and said, go and tell Hezekiah that I have seeing his tears and heard his prayer and I am given him 15 more years. Wooh! It was good news for Hezekiah.

I want to speak to you, my noble friends; what shall God remember about you, in order to help you, for Hezekiah, God have to remember the goodly relationship with him. What should prompt the Lord to helping you? Begin to develop personal relationship and intimacy with your God; it will go a long away to changing the bad news of your life to good news. It will become a blessing to your children, because of the goodly relationship between David and God, Solomon was not punished completely for his error, God said to him “because of your father David” I will leave to you two kingdoms. Solomon lost eight kingdoms to his rival; God left two for him considering Late David his father, your relationship with God can also prompt God to help your children even if you’re dead.

I prophesy to you today, that God will turn your bad news to good news, Jesus name.

God will remember your good works to bless you and your children after you, in Jesus name.

 Birthday is basically the day you were born, it is usually very significant in people's life, there are men in the bible how cursed the day they were born because of the misfortune they experienced, people like Job and Jeremiah are examples, Job 3:1 , Jeremiah 20:14, 
So birthdays should be handled with prayer, prayers that can call in some good occurrence into our life. 

Sometimes, it is on birthdays that most people begin to realize how important and wonderful they are, when people all over go into zest just because you are counting additional year to your life and in their  zest, they begin to sing various songs of joy all for you. THE RELIGION OF THE HEART AND THE RELIGION OF THE LIP.

The Pharisees and the scribes accused the disciples of Jesus of transgressing the tradition by eating with impure hands,

Jesus considered their petition as precept of men, i.e. Jesus sees them as people who take the mere human rules and teachings as doctrine; indeed the Pharisees see washing of hands as doctrines.

Eventually, Jesus called them hypocrites, people who say one thing and does another thing or people who claim to be what they are not.

See the conversation between Jesus and pharisees, Mark 7:5. The Pharisees and the scribes asked Him, “Why do your disciples not walk according to the tradition of the elders, but eat their bread with impure hands?”

6. And He said to them, “Rightly did Isaiah prophesy of you hypocrites, as it is written;

THIS PEOPLE HONOR ME WITH THEIR LIPS,

BUT THEIR HEARTS IS FAR AWAY FROM ME,

7. ‘BUT IN VAIN DO THEY WORSHIP ME.

TEACHING AS DOCTRINES THE PRECEPTS OF MEN;

My dear friends from this scripture I drew my topic “The religion of the heart and the religion of the lip”.

The religion of the of the heart is the religion of the true sons and daughters of Abraham the friend of God, who hold the commandments of God in high esteem, while the religion of the lip is the religion of the hypocrites, Pharisees and the scribes, they totally neglected the commandment of God, held on their traditions and desires, not wanting change.

I write this to you so that you become aware of piece warning revealed by the Holy Spirit concerning hypocrisy, so that you will migrate and update to the ‘religion of the heart’ in case you are still operating and living in the religion of the lip.

Those operating in the religion of the lip are just mere tradition keeps walking by the precepts of men as doctrines, neglecting the commandment of God which benefits their soul. 

The Lord bless you my noble friends for keeping up to the regard which the Lord esteemed you.

My ernest prayer for you today is that, You live within the circumference of the regard and esteem the Lord has concerning you.

TREASURES IN THE HANDS OF BABIES

Treasures in the hands of babies are not valued, the babies dumps them here and there until they are stolen. But when a reasonable adult finds a treasure he/she holds it with the best regard, he guides it with his life.

It is a treasure to be a child of God.

It is a treasure to be born again.

It is a treasure to have the salvation through Christ.

It is a treasure to a woman/man of God.

It is a treasure to have established intimacy with the Holy Spirit.

It is a treasure to be addressed as sons and daughters by the God.

It is a treasure to have any gift of the Holy Spirit.

Unfortunately, most persons who found any of the treasures become so careless in handling them and loosing them in broad daylight.

They usually loose the treasures through their babyish and youthful lost and behavous and life styles, even though they are adults in stature.

They remain babyish every day by the way and manner they handle important things especially spiritual things.

If you  are one of the person who had lost any of the important treasures of life, then you are the one I’m talking to now, please; take heart and sorrow no more, I’m aware that you have struggled so much to regain the treasure but it had not being easy, this because you are not the one who acquired it for the first place, you never laboured for it, it was a free gift from the Lord, so you can’t really get it back by mere struggling, you need to go back to God, it may cause you a real-time sacrifices such as long fasting and praying period or by adjusting you life styles to please God, However adjust your life style to please God is not also easy without fasting and prayers too. So in either ways, you need to fast and pray seeking the face of God, God being faithful and merciful will restore to you all your lost treasures and glory Joel 2: 25 God bless you in Jesus name.
